Students will be able to request an I-20 from Stanford's Bechtel International Center once they receive a Stanford ID number and create SUNet ID (username) and password.
Once you’ve completed your Summer Session Immigration Orientation, you can request your I-20 by completing a simple request form located on Bechtel Connect, the Stanford University I-20 request platform.
An email with a unique link to Bechtel Connect will be sent to your Stanford email address in the next 24 hours from Bechtel International Center. Before beginning your I-20 request, make sure to have the following documents ready:
- Copy of Passport
- Copy of Enrollment Letter
- Proof of Funding (including a letter of support if your family is providing financial funding)
- Please ensure that you upload all required documents.
- Missing any of these required documents will result in an extreme delay in processing and receiving your I-20.
- To begin, click on the unique link to Bechtel Connect that was sent to your Stanford email address.
The email subject line is, "Admitted Student | Visa Document Request Invitation" - Log into Bechtel Connect using your SUNet ID and password.
- Select F-1 I-20 as the visa type you are requesting.
- Upload a copy of your passport, Summer Session enrollment letter, and proof of funding in the designated request pages.
To download your enrollment letter, please log into your Application Status page.
Failure to upload the correct documents may result in an extreme delay in processing and receiving your I-20. - Once you complete the request, please click the "Submit" button.
- After completing the I-20 request, you’ll be able to check the status in your account.
- Please allow up to 10 business days for your I-20 to be processed. An email will be sent to your Stanford email address notifying you that your I-20 is available for download in the Bechtel Connect portal.
