Campus Fee Guide

Document Fee ($125)

  • This is a one-time fee charged to all students who are not returners to Summer Session. This fee offsets the cost of maintaining student records, processing transcript requests, and other registration-related services.

Technology Fee ($87)

  • All students living on campus pay this fee, which covers the costs of a land-line telephone, telephone service, and access to Internet (wired and wireless residential network) in the residence.

Cardinal Care Health Insurance ($1,782)

  • All students enrolled in courses at Stanford are required to have health insurance. The University will automatically enroll students in Stanford’s Cardinal Care health insurance plan for Summer Quarter. Students are able to waive this fee with proof of acceptable alternative coverage that offers benefits comparable to those provided under Cardinal Care.
  • Domestic Students who would like to waive cardinal care can do so in Axess. 
  • International students who would like to possibly waive cardinal care, please do so by submitting a Help Ticket

Campus Health Service Fee ($251)

  • All registered students are required to pay a quarterly fee to cover the costs of services provided by Stanford’s Vaden Health Center. Students in our program are eligible to receive services at Vaden, which include:  primary care medical services, counseling and psychological services, and health and wellness programs. This fee is required for all students, regardless of whether or not you enroll in Stanford Cardinal Care or have private insurance.
