What should I do if I'm on the waitlist?

If you have been placed on the waitlist, we recommend that students continue to monitor their email for a notification regarding their admission decision.

In our experience, attrition happens every year and students are able to move off the waitlist. Unfortunately, we don’t know how many students will withdraw or how many spots will become available.

We move students off the waitlist in chronological order. We cannot tell you the ranking of your students because this is dependent on what space was made available by the students who recently withdrew from the program. For example, if a female student withdraws we will move the first female student from the waitlist in chronological order, so even if a male student is on top of the list, we can’t move them off because a male bed is not available yet.

Stanford has a Protection of Minors policy with a required student-to-staff ratio. The limited HS population in the program is to keep students safe. This also helps with community building and giving our program a sense of cohort. Therefore, we are unable to add more spots/beds in our residencies.
