All students must take action in Axess to acknowledge the Cardinal Care enrollment policy.
The online waiver process for Cardinal Care opens on May 26 after students acknowledge the Cardinal Care Enrollment Policy in Axess. Students will receive an email in their Stanford email inbox to access the insurance waiver portal.
Waiving Cardinal Care
Submit your request to waive Cardinal Care through the My Academic HealthPlan portal. As part of this process, you will be asked to provide proof of insurance coverage. The coverage you submit will be assessed to ensure that it is active and that it meets the Minimum Health Insurance Coverage Requirements set by the university.
If the coverage you submit fails to meet the minimum requirements, your request to waive will be denied, and you will remain enrolled in Cardinal Care for the applicable period. If your request to waive Cardinal Care coverage is successful, you will be unenrolled from the coverage, and the corresponding charge will be removed from your bill.
The deadline to request a waiver is June 15. Students who don’t request a waiver by this deadline or choose to stay enrolled in Cardinal Care will have coverage until August 31.
