How many units do I need to enroll in if I have a Stanford sponsored I-20?

All international students who do not have a study-eligible visa are required to obtain a F-1 student visa in order to enroll at Stanford for the Summer Quarter.

To obtain a Stanford sponsored I-20 you must first apply for and be accepted to the program. Once admission is offered, you will need to complete the acceptance process.

Stanford will sponsor the I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant F-1 Student Status) which is the first step in the process of obtaining an F-1 Student Visa. Students who receive Stanford I-20 sponsorship must maintain enrollment in a minimum of 8 units throughout the Summer Quarter.
